So Kikie arrives, and we all buy our tickets - except him, coz he had to work - and chilled outside, under the sun (stupid Kikie's choice la)... Smoked, laughed, talked. Whee! Pali arrives and chills with us as well, and for a moment we forget we've been waiting for hours and just enjoy the minutes dragging out slowly.
So we went in and rushed to grab a space towards the front of the stage and could physically feel the room filling up with fans. We were pushed forward, then restrained back, and so on and so forth. First band: Daarchlea! As always, they give us a power boost like Energizer batteries. Screaming through the few songs they had for us, the crowds headbanged to pure insanity. It's no wonder they don't have mosh fans but the 666 Head Bang dudes... Their music is so headbangable!! Hahahaha. Well, good job for them, great effort.
After Daarchlea and all the way before Restraint, I was kind of bouncing in a whirl of blurness, I just remember moshing and catching Kids on the Move and Side Circle live as well. Haha! We were all saving up our energy for Restraint.
Kids on the Move
Well, some of us were saving our energy :P
And finally. Restraint! Gosh, I absolutely love this band. So full of energy and power, I was not disappointed one bit. You know those kind of feelings when you're expecting and waiting for something to happen, and wanting it to be really good and it turns out pretty shit? Well... it was NOT like that with Restraint. They were exactly how I expected, and it was awesome!
Old school circle pits, wall of deaths, everything just literally falling into place :D
Was hilarious when I lost my shoe in the circle pit, and grabbed a shoe and bounced off, realized it wasn't my shoe, threw it back into the pit and looked for mine. HAHAAHAH :P Only managed to get one shot of Restraint because, well you know :)
Rested after Restraint because we were all dying and sweaty. Haha. Grabbed some water, relaxed and headed back in to catch Cassandra and Naratu... having to face the process of standing the bands before them. Yes I know they're otais of the metal scene in KL but still, I needed some power boosters, not those songs you tend to play when you're in your room. Ngeh.
Bosan: This is what happens. xD
NARATU! Isn't it weird that I was waiting for both the bands with the same vocalist? Haha! Well their showmanship is really awesome, what can I do about it :P Naratu! Pukimak kau, babi anjing! Bahahaha. Really super duper insaneee, crazy as hell, everybody were practically throwing themselves around and onto the stage.
Weird. Asal I takde gambar Cassandra? Yer! Anyway, the gig started to become a drag, everyone was getting tired, went back in with Alip to catch As sahar, went up on the stage to sit at the back with Pali, chilled, listened to the music, tried not to fall asleep. That was basically what happened throughout the whole of the remaining hours.
Last band: Sil Khannaz. Of course lah, what do you want from otais like that? Mesti lah gempak! Haha, I don't know, I just have this habit of cringing every time the vocalist sings. But it's cool la, the drummer covers for him and makes up for the vocalist. Because, I am telling you the drummer of Sil Khannaz... is.... brilliant. Okay, it's not like he plays more complicated shit than other drummers, because we do have pretty good drummers in the metal scene as well, but I think what differs him from the rest is his clean strokes, his funky attitude and just the way he sharply carries out his beats. Wuish... Memang gempak :)
I start takut because of the headbangers in the front row. They looked like they were like... dead. HAHAHA.
And finally, isn't this a beautiful end? :)
Went back with Pali, lepak'd at Ampang with his friends, and they planned to tepung telur at him coz it just turned his birthday, but he locked himself up in the car and instead they screwed up the car. HAHA.
Celine loves leaving gigs with new friends.
