A Stonebay Showcase; Spoonman's "The Night when the Moon played the piano" @ Laundry Bar, Curve

It was a show we'd been looking forward to for weeks, not only because it would be a guaranteed blast, but because it would be the biggest bonus for my band, Beatburns to open for a talent like Stonebay!

We arrived at around 8.30pm and grabbed our food. Lots of our friends were rolling into the venue and it felt very festive. I can't deny that my nerves were creeping up as I watched Laundry Bar fill up with crowd as the clock hit 9pm.

Diandra started off the night with a soft set the get the crowds slowly introduced to a night of music. She did three songs and handed the stage over to a band I had never seen before, Reaxi. They were all in all, pretty good! :) I enjoyed their set, it got people moving and showed great potential. However, due to the show running a little over time, they only performed two songs and went off stage.

Next up was us, Beatburns. All in all, despite the fact that we too had to play two songs, I felt like the crowd accepted us fairly well and we did a great job (minus my accidental slips of notes hehe). We enjoyed ourselves, which was the most important, and all our friends were giving us the best support :)

And finally, to end the 'night when the moon played the piano', Stonebay came up as band of the night and played an incredible set of over 10 songs. Well loved and accepted by all, there were vivid sing alongs from avid fans and it was such a friendly atmosphere in the air throughout the entire set. Stonebay has always been known for their humble appreciation of their fans and friends and this has made them worthy of all the support they have. With funky, catchy tunes that really gets a crowd paying attention to them, Stonebay no doubt owned the night.

Spent the night with friends and family, taking pictures, catching up, laughing, chilling.... A great, great night, indeed!

A night Celine will not forget.
